Myrtise Edge McDuffie was born in Bladen county. She passed away in Cape Fear 
Valley hospital on May 26, 1973 leaving behind her daughter Wilma Louise McDuffie, 
daughter Mavis Laverne McDuffie Bryant, son in law W. Marshall Bryant, and grand 
daughters Maria Lisa and Marisa Lanita Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband 
Elbert McDuffie.
