I Thomas Bryan Planter of the Providence of North Carolina in the County of Bladen being very weak in boody but of perfict mind, and memory. Thanks be given unto God therefore callin to mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men once to die I make and ordain this my last will and testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul to Almighty God that gave it and for my body I recommend to the earth to be buryed at the discretion of my dear wife and children. Nothing doubting but at the general resurection I shall receive the same again by the might powers of God and as Touching estates where unto it has pleased God to bless in him life I give devise and dispose the same in following manner and form. Impremis it is my will and I do order that in the first place all my just debts and funeral charges be paid and satisfied. Item I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife all my goods and chatels, Lands and tenements durring her term of life and after her death I give to my daughter Sarah Simson my land where on I now live and a negro wench called Guin? to her heirs and assignes. Item I give to my son Stephen Bryan one negro boy named Ben , to him and his assignes. Item I give to my son William Bryan on negro boy named Jack to him and his assignes. Item I give to my son Phlemon Bryan the full and just sum of eightty pounds and five Larmatein? money to be raised and levied out of my estate together with all my house hold goods and chatels. Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth Q. one negro wench called Dinah that she has already in her hands. Item I give to my son John Bryan a negro wench named Hannah to him and his assigns. item I give to my daughter Amy Baldwin a negro girl named Dains to her and her assigns. Item I give to my son Edward Bryan a wench called Phebe and a child called Tom to him and his assigns. I do appoint Edward Bryan my executor after the decease of my loving wife. I will the remainder of my goods and chatels may be equally divided among these that are herafter named Edward Bryan, Thomas Bryan, John Bryan, Philomen Bryan, William Bryan, Stephen Bryan, Sarah Simson, Elizabeth. I do here by disavow revoke ;and disanul all and every other testamony wills legacies and executors by me in my will before this time.
