"Amen" I John Ellis of the County of Bladen in State of North Carolina being of perfect mind and memory Blessed be god do this Sixth, 6th day of January in the Year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighteen Make and publish this my last will and testament in Manner following Viz= First-All my Just debt to be punctually paid Second-I give and bequeath to my beloved Son James Samuel Ellis my river lands lying in the North East Side of the North West Qiud* being in two tract containing five hundred and Sixty acres more or less originally granted to Evan Ellis in the Year one thousand Seven hundred and Thirty-five also fifteen acres in B???* Creek also Lot 20th one in Elizabethtown and one other Lot in said town partly in Broad Street to him and his heirs and assigns forever Third-It is my Will and desire that my back land lying on Turnbull Pancher* Branch. Suggo* Mill Pond & c Containing Fifteen hundred and Eighty acres more or less be sold immediately after my decease by my Executors hereafter Mentioned at a credit of two years and the proceeds to go to my daughter Elizabeth Ellis together with all my lots in Elizabethtown not herein mentioned to her and her heirs forever Fourth-It is My Will and desire that my perishable property Consisting of Negroes.
