WILL OF PRISCILLA HARVEY
Will Book 1, page 270, Bladen County, North Carolina

In the Name of God, "Amen"
I Priscilla Harvey of the County of Bladen and state of North Carolina being 
of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and testament 
in manner and form following. viz— 

1st It is my Will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be 
paid.

2nd I give and bequeath to the Methodist church South thirty dollars. Said 
amount to be paid out of a note I hold against Thomas J. Norman for missionary 
purposes.

3rd I give and bequeath to Thomas J. Norman one fourth part of a note I hold 
against him the said Thomas J. Norman.

4th I give and bequeath the residue or balance of said note I have against the 
said Thomas J. Norman after paying the aforementioned legacies to the children 
of my Nephew Simeon Norman share and share alike.

5th I give and bequeath to Thomas J. Norman and Duncan Cromartie in trust for 
the use and benefit of a Negro Woman Mary that belongs to said Norman and Cloe 
a woman belonging to the heirs of Genel Jas. I. McKay, all my wearing apparel 
and bed and furniture together with what other perishable property I may have 
at the time of my death except the note I have already bequeathed.

I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Thos. J. Norman and D. Cromartie 
Executors to this my last Will and Testament. This 26th day of December 1855.
