I have added punctuation for ease of reading; otherwise the will is transcribed as written. ***************************************** I, Sarah Bowen, of the County of Bladen in the State of North Carolina, widow, do make and declare this my last will and Testament in the manner and form following: In the first place I give to my beloved Grandson Fife (perhaps Fise?) King, the Son of my Daughter Sarah King, one hundred pounds Jamaican currency; and give to my grandson Thomas King, the Son of my Daughter Sarah King, one hundred pounds Jamaican currency. The Remainder and Residue of my Estate be it of what nature or kindsoever I give to my Grandson Goodin Bowen, the Son of my Son James Elletson Bowen, and his heirs or assigns, when he arrives at the age of twenty one years; but if he should die before he arrives at the age of twenty one years, then to be equally Divided between my two grandsons Fife and Thomas King, and I hereby appoint my Brother Goodin Elletson and Richard Watt Esq, merchant, of London, my whole and sole Guardians to my grandson Goodin Bowen, and Executors to this my last will and Testament, and I hereby revoke all other wills by me made and I hereby declare this to be my last will which I have Signed and Sealed this (no day given) of Ocotober in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six.
