Brunswick County, NC - Moses Holmes - Act to Legitimate

An Act to alter the name of Moses Holmes and to legitimate him

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina,
and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the
name of Moses Holmes, of the county of Brunswick shall be, and the
same is hereby altered to Moses McKeethan, and by that name he is
hereby legitimated; and entitled to inherit from his father 
Moses McKeethan, by descent and distribution, as effectually as if 
he had been born in wedlock; any thing in any other law to the 
contrary notwithstanding.
