Indenture dated 15 Dec 1829 between Robert James Potts of Wilmington and Doyle 
A Hanlon of the same whereas Robert James standeth bound into the said Doyle 
in the sum of five hundred dollars conditioned for the payment on or before 15 
Dec 1836 for a piece of land together with all and singular the buildings, 
improvements, ways, woods, water and water course rights lying in Brunswick 
County in the Town of Smithville known in said town as twenty nine fronting 
Bay Street and running west to Potts Street until it reaches Moore Street
Wit: C G McRae and Dan's H Wingate

The execution of the deed was proved and ordered to be registered
