C., on Saturday afternoon, the 8th inst. A boat containing 19 persons, in passing across the Bay of Oak Island, was capsized, and 12 of the passengers were drowned, viz: COL DOZIER, his wife, and seven children, an old gentleman named HANKINS, an only daughter of MILES POTTER, and a Negro girl. The remaining seven were saved by clinging to the boat, whence they were rescued by a Negro boy, who immediately put off in a boat for their assistance. -- Fay.
