                           Will of John Sullavind
                              Brunswick County
                          N. C. 20 September 1782 
                                      
   In the Name of God Amen, I John Sullavind of North Carolina Brunswick
   County being very Sick and Weak in Body, but of perfect Mind and
   Memory, Thanks be given unto God Calling unto Mind the Mortality of my
   Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make
   and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to Say, Principally
   and first of all, I Give and Recommend my Soul into the Hand of
   Almighty God that gave it and my body I Recommend to the Earth, to be
   buried in decent Christian Burial, at the Discretion of my executor:
   nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I Shall receive the
   Same again, by the Mighty Power of God, and as touching Such Worldly
   Estate Wharewith it has pleased God to bless me in this Life I Give
   divise and dispose of the Same in the following Manner and form:
   First I Give and bequeath to Agga my beloved wife one mare Cauled Fan
   and bridle and Saddle allso I Give to my well beloved son Hamton
   Sullavind one Shilling Sterling also I give to my beloved son John
   Sullavind one Shilling Sterling allso I give to my beloved son William
   Sullavind one Shilling Sterling also I give to my beloved daughter
   Nanny Sullavind and my son Calib, and my son Robbin, and my son
   Archer, and my son Elcany, and my Daughter Paully, all my stock of
   Cattle and what Cattle'some of them had before to be Equally devided
   with my stock and for every child to have a part not one to have more
   than the other - also I give to my son Mical Campeal one Hundred acres
   of land joining Bengamin Outlaw old_ part of the land that I bought of
   John Sullavind and for him to pay to the Estate five hard dollars on
   the account ________ Sullavind and my son ________n and my Son Archer
   and my son Elcany and my daughter Paully all my ____________ that the
   said lands may be sold and the money to be Equally divided among them
   and all the Dets thats Dew to me, I will that fore horses may be sold
   for the Use of the family, I will that three Guns may be devided amung
   the four youngest Boys, and all my houshold furniture to be the the
   property of my Loving wife Agga Sullavind to make yuse of and dispose
   of it at her own descretion further I will that if Either of the five
   youngest Children above mentioned should die, what Estate thay have
   shall be Equally devided amung the Rest of the Same Youngest Children,
   in Witness Whareof I halve hereunto put my name and Seal this
   twentieth day of September one thousand seven Hundred Eightty Two
