STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA,  IN EQUITY                 BUNCOMBE COUNTY  
March Term, 1807

SILAS ALEXANDER

     Vs.

JOSEPH MOTT



It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendant, JOSEPH MOTT 
is  not a resident of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for three weeks in the Raleigh Minerva, that unless the 
said Defendants appear at the next Term of this Court,  and plead, answer or 
demur to this petition, the complainant’s bill will be taken pro confesso and  
set for hearing
