Buncombe County, North Carolina Index of Deed Records, related to the 
descendants of Frances "Frankie" Banks, born 1802 in Buncombe County, 
and died in Yancey County, North Carolina during the decade of the 
1850’s. Frankie Banks is believed to be the unwed daughter of Nathaniel 
Banks (1776 – 1859) of Buncombe County and wife Elizabeth Warren Banks 
(b. 1777 in North Carolina). She gave birth to at least seven known 
children whose father or fathers are unknown to anyone now living.
 
This index was compiled by Marshall Styles, and appeared in Volume II 
of "The Descendants of Frances 'Frankie' Banks" © 2004 by Marshall L. 
Styles, publisher Higginson Book Company, Salem, Massachusetts.
 
The full record contains 3,383 records, comprised of 623 deeds, compiled 
from records in the Register of Deeds for Buncombe County, NC. There are

which are either descendants of Frances "Frankie" Banks, spouses of her
