Abstracts - Buncombe County Deed Books.
Book A, p. 351;****************John Cabe, Sr. bought, 2 June
1807 from James Meridith a parcel of land lying on both sides
of Pigeon River, below mouth of Richland Creek, above where
James McDowell lived, containing two hundred and twenty acres.

Book B, p. 42;*****************John Cabe, Sr. bought, 30 May
1808 from William McConnell, one hundred acres of land on
Pattons Fork in Scotts Creek, joining and above John Stiles.**
