   DIED, in Asheville, N. C., on the 2nd instant, of consumption, MRS. HARRIET 
NEWELL, consort of REV. THOMAS ATKIN, Editor of the Asheville News, in the 
35th year of her age. We sympathize deeply with our friend, ADKIN, in this his 
sad bereavement.
