The Asheville Gazette News, 13 May 1907 (Monday)

Mrs. M. L. Hawkins Dead.

News was received here today of the death at her home in West Asheville this 
morning at 1 o'clock of Mrs. M. L. Hawkins, a well known lady of that 
section.  Mrs. Hawkins was 71 years of age at the time of her death and had 
made Buncombe county her home for many years.  Surviving are four children--
one daughter and three sons--Mrs. H. E. Hames, and Charles, William and J. L. 
Hawkins.  The funeral services will be conducted from the late residence 
tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.  Rev. Mr. Stokes officiating.  The interment 
will be at the West Asheville cemetery.

Burial Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville.  Daughter of Robert Rogers, who died 
in 1863 in Bartow County, Georgia--she is mentioned in his will which can be
