Deloyce Ledford

Deloyce Ayers Ledford, 58, of Dillingham Road, Barnardsville,
died Monday in an Asheville hospital. A native of Yancey County,
she had lived in Buncombe County for the past 44 years. She was
a daughter of Annice Shepherd of Swannanoa, and the late Willard
Ayres, and the wife of A.D. Ledford, who died in 1978.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are four daughters, Betty
Ann Lackey and Sandra Kay Robert of Barnardsville, Brenda Gail
Ledford of Asheville, and Janet Ledford Farmer of Knoxville,
Tennessee; three sons, Henry and David Ledford of Barnardsville
and Rick Ledford of Raleigh; four sisters, June Anglin and
Billie Jean Tomberlin of Burnsville; Peggy Buckner of Swannanoa
and Nadine Taub of Bowie, MD; three brothers, J.C. and Boyd
Ayers of Swannanoa, and Robert Ayers of Fredrick, MD; and eight
grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Barnardsville Baptist
Church. The Rev. Frank Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in
West Memorial Park.
