Buncombe County Obits.
Mrs. Joseph Massey     
  Mrs. Cora Revis Massey, 83 of Macedonia Rd, Rt. 1 Asheville, died Oct 13, 
1973. After a long Illness. 
  A native of Madison County, she had lived in Buncombe County for the past 60 
years. She was the daughter of the late Goodson and Melinda Ball Revis and the 
widow of Joseph Massey, who died in 1942.
  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Clara Dover with whom she made her home, 
Mrs. Luella Dyer and Mrs. Elizaberh Hensley of Asheville; two sons, A. D. 
Massey of Banardsville and Clyde Dover of Marion; a stepson, Charlie Massey of 
Asheville; two sisters, Mrs. Lona Gentry of Marion and Mrs. Maggie Rice of 
Charlotte Court House, Va., a brother, Herman E. Revis of Glen Alpine; 21 
grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one Great-great grandson. 
   Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at New Liberty Baptist Church The 
Rev. Howard Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in Ashlawn Gardens. 
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
  The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Anders-Rice 
Funeral Home, where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes 
before the services.
