DIED
In Asheville, North Carolina, on the 2nd instance, of the consumption, MRS. 
HARRIET NEWELL, consort of REV. THOMAS W. ATKIN, Editor of the Asheville News, 
in the 35th year of her age. A correspondent of the News bears the most 
impressive testimony to the numerous virtues of the deceased; the fortitude 
and Christian resignation with which she endured her sufferings and the 
strong, clear hope she expressed of a happy immortallity. We sympathize deeply 
with our friend, ATKIN, in this, his sad bereavment.
