Agnes Rockwell Sister of Famous Aviator Is Married at Asheville

On Account of Recent Death of Her Brother, Wedding Is Private - Officiating 
Clergyman Is Rev. W.E. Abernathy of Charlotte - Groom a Wilkesboro Minister

Asheville, Dec 8 - Miss Agnes Rockwell, sister of the famous aviator, Kiffin 
Rockwell, who was recently killed in France, was quietly married here tonight 
to Rev. Leonidas Braxton Hayes of Wilkesboro, Rev. W.E. Abernathy of Charlotte 
officiated.

Because of the recent bereavement in the family of the bride, the wedding was 
practically private. Roses and greenery were used as decorations in the 
reception room of the home of Dr. Lular Rockwell, mother of the bride, where 
the wedding took place. Miss Mary Rogers was maid of honor and only attendant 
of the bride.

Edwin Hayes, brother of the groom, was best man. Following the wedding an 
informal reception was held following which Rev. and Mrs. Hayes left for 
Wilkesboro, where the groom is pastor of the Methodist Church. Miss Rockwell 
is a sister of the late Kiffin Rockwell and of Paul Rockwell, who was recently 
married at Paris, France.
