Nelson and Maud Halderley were married yesterday at 33 Merrimon avenue by Justice Jesse R. Starnes. There was some delay in the performances of the ceremony, occasioned by an inquiry from the groom as to the politics of the justice, he deciding that he would not by married by a Republican, and expressing fears that the ceremony would not be binding if performed by one of the offsprings of the last legislature. He finally succumbed to the inportunities of the bride, who assured him that if it killed him to be married by a Republican justice, the same officer would bury his body without charge. The ceremony was performed.
