This indenture made the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between John Davis Snr, Thos. Davis, Salatheal Davis, Jehial Davis, Merrida Davis, David Davis, Mary Davis, David Dalton and his wife Ruth Dalton, Joseph Souther and Sarah Souther his wife, John England and Jane England his wife of the State of North Carolina and County of McDowell of the one part and Patrick Davis of the State and County aforesaid the other part witnessed that for and in consideration of the sum of seventy dollars to them in hand paid by the said Patrick Davis the receipt where of the said John Davis, Thos. Davis, Salatheal Davis, Jehiel Davis, Meryda Davis, David Davis, Mary Davis, David Dalton and Ruth Dalton, Joseph Souther and Sarah Souther, John England and Jane doth fully acknowledge, have bargained, granted, sold, ____, conveyed and confirmed unto Patrick Davis, his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying on a branch of Camp Creek joining William Noblett formly Englands on the East beginning on a Post Oak on the summit of a ridge on said Nobletts corner and runs West ninety poles to live Chesnuts in the head of a holler then South one hundred and seventy eight poles to a Maple and Chesnut then East ninety poles to a stake then North to the beginning together with all woods, water, miner minerals here detrements and appetenunces to the said bargained tract of land containing one hundred acres to the said Pattrick Davis, his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Davis Senr, Thomas Davis, Salathial Davis, Jehiel Davis, Merryda Davis, David Davis, Mary Davis, David Dalton and Ruth Dalton, Joseph and Sarah Souther, John England and Jane England. We do bind ourselves and our heirs, executors and administrators do and shall will warrant and defend the said promices forever to the said Pattrick Davis, his heirs and assigns in witness where of we have herewit set our hands and seals and delivered in the presence of: _ B.
