W. Branch The young wife of Mr. W. W. Branch, a clerk in the grocery store of Messrs. Lazarus Bros., died Tuesday morning about 2 o'clock, at her home in East Morganton. Mrs. Branch had been ill for several weeks, but her condition was not considered serious until just a few days before her death. She leaves two small children, one about two years of age and the other a babe only three weeks old. Mrs. Branch was a daughter of Mr. Joe Williams of Upper Creek township, and only about three years ago was a happy bride. It is a peculiarly sad case, and the heart-broken husband, the motherless babes and the other relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of all. The funeral was held from the residence yesterday morning at 10 o'clock and the internment was at the town cemetery. Rev. W. H. Reddish, pastor of the Morganton Baptist church, conducted the services.
