Death of Mr. W. A Christenbury
   After an illness of several weeks from typhoid 
fever, Mr. W. A. Christenbury, a Morganton building
contractor, died at Grace Hospital on Tuesday, and
was buried at Mt. Pleasant church yesterday afternoon
at 3 o'clock, Rev. W. F. Womble of the Morganton
Methodist church condcuting the services.
   Mr. Christenbury resided on East Union street and
leaves six children--three sons and three daughters.
His wife, who was a daughter of the late Asbury Puett,
died about two years ago.
   Mr. Christenbury was an honest, industrious citizen
and his death is a distinct loss to the community.
