The Morganton Herald Thur Dec 25, 1890

   A correspondent writing from Joy, Burke county,
says: "Mrs. Lizzie Christenbury, wife of John 
Christenbury, died on the 18th instant, leaving a
husband and three children, and many relatives to
mourn her loss. She was buried at Oak Hill Methodist
church, of which she was a consistent member on
Saturday, Dec 20th, at 12 o'clock. Her bereaved
family has the deepest sympathy of the community
at large."
