Arrington of Charlotte will be married in Morganton tomorrow to Miss Nettie Ward, daughter of Capt. E.W. Ward of Lincolnton. The bride will be given away by her uncle, Mr. Walter Brem. The following young men of Charlotee accompanied Mr. Arrington to Morganton: Messrs. W.W. Watt, Henry R. Bryan, Thad. B. Seigle, Tho. Gillespie and Joseph McLean. Mr. Watt acts in the capacity of best man. After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Arrington will go to Asheville and will arrive in Charlotte next Saturday. The Charlotte News 9 Oct 1890 Arrington-Ward Mr. John H. Arrington of Charlotte was married in Morganton yesterday to Miss Nettie Ward. The ceremony was performed at 12 o'clock in the Methodist Church by Rev. Mr. Bonner. The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. Walter Brem. The wedding was characterized by an absence of lady attendants, the entire escort consisting of males. Mr. W.W. Watt was the groom's best man and the attendants were Messrs. Thornwell Anderson, Laurie Harding, Thad B. Seigle, Henry R. Bryan, Gaither Pearson, Thomas D. Gillespie, John Alexander and Ned Ward. Nixie Brem was ring bearer and Robin Brem and George Collett gate openers. Mr. and Mrs. Arrington left in the afternoon for Asheville. The will arrive in Charlotte Saturday.
