D.M. Russel, Adm'r of Robt. Perodinel, dec'd
vs.
John Scott and wife Matilda et al

Petition for settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant/defendants, John Scott and wife Matilda and D.R. Perodinal reside 
beyond the limits of this State: It is therefore ordered by the Court that 
publication be made for six successive weeks in the Charlotte Journal 
notifying said defendant non-resident to be and Appear at our next Court of 
Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for Cabarrus County at the Court House at 
Concord on the 3rd Monday in July next. 

Then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: Otherwise 
judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte will 
be made as to them.

April AD 1849
