Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of thirty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid into our treasury by Hector McCachron have given and granted and by these present do give thirty-six acres lying and being in our county of Cabarrus on the southside of Rocky River beginning at a post oak Walter Farr's corner running thence with said Farr's line due west one hundred and sixty-three pole to a post oak his other corner thence with or near his other line North twenty-five west fifty six pole to a stake in Robert Beans line thence---- Together with all woods, water, mines, minerals, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Hector McCachron his heirs and assigns forever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherways as our general asembly from time to time may direct provided always that the said grantee shall cause this grant to be registered in the registers office of our said county of Cabarrus within twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of the effect. In testimony wereof we have cause these our letters to be made patent and our great seal to be hereunto affixed.
