I received your ?ind leter and was glad to hare hare from you all a gane. I received your leter last week and red it with pleasure to hare from you all. I havt nothing to write at this time that would be very intrust to read. We went on picket yesterday and the yanks has most all gon but I can’t tell whair. The air gonto som ses the air crossing the river a bov fredricksburg but I can’t tell whether it is tru or not. Som ses we will have to fight heare bee fore long but I can’t tell nothing a bout it. The say the say the air crossing up at the unitedstates ford. I can’t tell Whither that is true or not, for there is so mutch talk I don’t when I hare the truth. I want You tell fatherinlaw to write, if he don’t Iwill hav to get a holt of him som time. I wold like to hare from him and I want him to write and let me hare from him. So I will hav to very short leter for the want of som thing to write to write. We cant hare nothing new at all these times. I want you to write often and fale not in doing so.
