Thurs., Sept. 23, 1858  North Carolina Argus September 23, 1858
   We regret to learn that on Friday afternoon last, DANIEL COLEMAN ESQ., of 
Concord, had his leg broken, by jumping off the freight train on the N. C. 
Road, upon which he was riding. The train was running very slow and had almost 
stopped when MR. COLEMAN leaped off. -- Charlotte Democrat
