Thurs. June 7, 1860  North Carolina Argus May 11, 1860
   M. M. PLUNKETT, former Sheriff of Cabarrus, died at the Insane Asylum on 
the 11th ult. from a paralytic attack. For his moral and business qualities, 
MR. PLUNKETT bore a high reputation. In November, 1858, he was pronounced 
insane by the finding a jury and sent to the Asylum,  his friends believing 
that relaxation from business and the kind and efficient treatment that he 
would recieve there would again restore him to his friends and family, if not 
to the public.
