Dec. 1, 1859 North Carolina Argus November 1, 1859 CABARRUS SUPERIOR COURT was held last week. The only case of importance tried was that known as the JOHN LONG Will Case, which occupied the Court four days -- from Wednesday to Saturday night. Some of the best legal talent in the State was engaged in the case -- HON. JOHN A. GILMER, JOSEPH H. WILSON, THOMAS S. ASHE and A. J. DARGAN, ESQS, for the Will and J. W. OSBORNE, RUFUS BARRINGER, NAT BOYDEN, D. C. BARRINGER, ESQS. against it. After lengthy arguments on each side, the jury rendered a verdict in favor of the Will, from which decision an appeal to the Supreme Court has been taken.
