MARGARET ALEXANDER, the amiable wife of GOV. NATHANIEL ALEXANDER, and sister of COL. WM. POLK of this City. MRS. ALEXANDER had for some years labored under a consumption of the lungs – a change in her disorder appearing which baffled the skill of her physician. She had left home lately to visit her mother-in-law, and to get the assistance of other physicians: she was worse on her arrival, and every effort to relieve her by medicine, appeared to aggravate the disease.
