Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hartsell’s Funeral Home by the Rev. Harry Moore and the Rev. Fenton Jones. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will remain at the funeral home and the family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 p.m. today. Mrs. Staton was a native of Montgomery County, the daughter of the late Charles Cauble and Mrs. Sallie McKay Cauble. Her husband, Harmon P. Staton, preceded her in death. Surviving are five sons, N.L. Staton, Glenn M. Staton, Gene C. Staton, all of Concord, L.L. Staton of Charlotte and L.B. Staton of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Ballard and Mrs. Evelyn Haire, both of Concord; 16 children; 17 great-grandchildren.
