Lowder, 63, of 114 Mason street will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at Bethpage Methodist church. The Rev. David Cowart, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Kannapolis Cemetery. The body will be taken from Lady’s funeral home at 3 p.m. Mr. Lowder died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday at Lowrance Hospital, Mooresville, following a brief illness. He was a life-long resident of Cabarrus county and spent most of his life in the Kannapolis area. He was the son of the late J.A. Lowder and Mrs. Norina Blackwelder Lowder. He was employed in No. 3 Weave room at Cannon Mills Plant 4 and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are one son, Allen O. Lowder of the home; six daughters, Mrs. Hazel Ewing of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Alice Lambert, Mrs. Naomi Barnett and Mrs. Conway Hayes of Kannapolis, Mrs. Carol Edwards of Lexington, Mrs. Geraldine Peacock of Miami, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Hartsell of Kannapolis and Mrs. Minnie Wensil of Mooresville; one brother, Robert P. Lowder of Kannapolis; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
