Nov. 24,  1843   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at his residence in Cabarrus County, on Friday, the 17th inst., at 
the age of 86,, ISAAC BLACKWELDER, a faithful soldier in the Revolution. He 
was in a campaign against the Cherokee Indians in the early part of the war -- 
also in the Company of Ninety-Six --and also in the tragical affair of Gates' 
Defeat, near Camden.
