Aug. 16, 1848    Charlotte Journal
   DIED, at his mother's residence, in Cabarrus County, about 11 o'clock on 
Sunday night, July 30th, FRANCIS MARTON COCHRAN. His disease was a cancer of 
the femur or thigh bone.
