Oct. 2, 1846    Charlotte Journal
   DIED, of consumption, at  Warm  Springs, N. C., on the 22nd Sept., 1846, 
CAPT. JAMES M. COCHRAN, aged 32 years. His remains were interred in the NELSON 
family burying grounds.
   CAPTAIN COCHRAN was from early life a member of the Seceder Church -- and 
at the time of his death, a member of the Back Creek Congregation of Cabarrus 
County, N. C.
   He was devotedly attended to the last by his wife, MRS. SARAH COCHRAN, who 
with three children mourn their irreparable loss.
