Dec. 29, 1837       Charlotte Journal
   DIED [in Cabarrus] MR. PHILIP DRY, in the 76th year of his age.These two 
old gentlemen [MR. PAUL FURR and MR. DRY] had lived near neighborts upwards of 
50 years; and MR. DRY had on the evening of his death, just returned from the 
death of his neighbor [FURR], and with but an hour's warning was called to 
follow him to eternity. They were both interred at the same time.
