Mt. Pleasant - Funeral services for Daniel L. Lowder, 81, of Rt. 1, Mt. Pleasant 
will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Bethel-0Bear Creek United Church of 
Christ by the Rev. C. H. Hiatt, pastor.  Mr. Lowder died at 11:18 p.m. Saturday 
at a Concord nursing home.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The body is 
to lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.
Mr. Lowder was born on Sept. 1, 1882 in Stanly County, son of Mr. and Mrs. 
Monroe Lowder.
Survivors include:  his wife, Mrs. Lillie Shoe Lowder; two sons, D.R. Lowder 
of Bishopsville, S.C. and Ralph Lowder of Rt. 1, Mt. Pleasant; one brother, 
Claude Lowder of Kannapolis; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Penninger of 
Spartanburg, S.C.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
