C., on the 2nd inst., after a protracted illness of 22 days, DR. W. L. HUIE, aged 26 years and nine months. He was for two years a practitioner in medicine in Concord and the surrounding country. After finishing his academic course, he went to Washington College, Va. and graduated in 1839. He ten studied medicine with DR. E. R. GIBSON and went to the Medical University of Pennsylvania. In the Fall of 1842, and in the Spring of 1843, he engaged in the Practice of Medicine. He soon acquired a reputation that secured him an extensive practice. At 16 years old, he made a profession of religion and united himself with the Presbyteerian Church at Rocky River. He left a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
