Lowder Obit The Daily Independent, Sunday, March 24, 1985 James H. Lowder Norwood - James Harley Lowder, 80, of Whitley Street, died Friday morning at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church where he was a member. Rev. Nathan Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Norwood Cemetery. The body will remain at Edwards Funeral Home until the funeral hour. Born June 17, 1904 in Stanly County, Mr. Lowder was the son of the late Mumpford Lowder and Tine Poplin Lowder. He was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation. Survivors include his wife, Ramelle Kendall Lowder; a son, Wade Lowder of Kannapolis; a brother, Paul Lowder of Durham; two sisters, Mrs. Sunie Morton of Denton and Mrs. Glennie Hathcock of Norwood; three grandchildren.
