Lowder (picture included) Jason Lee Lowder, 78, of 400 East 10th Street, died early Wednesday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital following nine months of declining health and two months of serious illness. Services will be conducted at 1 a/m/ Friday at Jackson Park Baptist Church by Rev. Warner Bumgardner and Rev. David Harrison. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will remain at Lady’s Funeral Home until taken to the church at the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m. today. Born March 15, 1906 in Stanly County, Mr. Lowder was the son of the late Nathan B. Lowder and Mrs. Lela Efrid Lowder. He was a charter member of the Tri-County Lions Club, Salisbury, and prior to his retirement was employed in the No. 1 Weave Room of Cannon Mills, Plant 1. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary McDonald Lowder; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Martha) Spry of China Grove and Mrs. Ronald (Betty) Garrett of Fayetteville; one brother, Baxter Lowder of Kannapolis; fours sisters, Mrs. Basil (Mary) Moore, Mrs. Jack (Lula) Emerson, Mrs. Sam (Mildred) Nash Jr., and Mrs. William (Ruby) Krimminger, all of Kannapolis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
