Lowder Obit The Independent? Mrs. Lowder Mrs. Lillie Cauble Lowder, 78, of Lake City, Fla., died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Lake Shore Hospital there. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at St. John’s United Church of Christ here by the Rev. Mark Andes. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will remain at Whitley’s Funeral Home until taken to the church at the funeral hour. The family will be at the home of a son, Glenn C. Lowder, at 114 South Valley Street, Landis. Mrs. Lowder was a native of Stanly County, daughter of the late Matthew DeBerry Cauble and Mrs. Josephine Sides Cauble. She lived in Kannapolis most of her life, retired in 1965 from No. 3, weaving department at Cannon Mills Plant 1, and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She moved to Lake City, Fla., in 1978. Her husband, Claude Caldwell Lowder, died in August 1973. Surviving Mrs. Lowder are a son, Glenn C. Lowder of Landis; two daughters, Mrs. Aileen Huffman of Landis and Mrs. Sylvia Cress of Lake City, Fla.; one brother, Fred Cauble of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Mason and Mrs. Elsie Cauble, both of Concord; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
