Lowder Obit Sunday, April 18, 1982 Page 6-B L.E. Lowder [picture included] Lloyd Eugene Lowder, 60, of 905 Desoto Ave., died 11:55 a.m. at the Veteran’s Hospital in Salisbury. He had been in declining health for six months and seriously ill for one week. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jerry W. Townsend. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9 o’clock. Mr. Lowder was employed in the Plant 1 Distribution Center. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and a lifetime resident of Kannapolis. A member of VFW Post 8989, he was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was born June 21, 1921, in Mecklenburg County, the son of Mrs. Addie Lindsay Lowder of Kannapolis and the late George Haynes Lowder. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Annie Reece Lowder; one daughter, Mrs. Celina L. Hampton of Riverdale, Ga.; two brothers, Ervin M. Lowder and Ned L. Lowder, both of Kannapolis; one sister, Mrs. Iva Dell Owens of Kannapolis; and two grandchildren.
