Thursday Sept. 22, 1842   Charlotte Journal
   DIED, in York District, S. C., on the 7th September, MRS. JANE McCONNELL, 
the wife of MR. A. McCONNELL. The deceased was a native of Cabarrus County,
 N. C. and died in the 53rd year of her age. She was a woman who in many 
respects had no equal. She was an affectionate and tender wife, the kind and 
loving mother and the obliging neighbor.
