MURPH

James Murph died on Monday night at 9 o'clock at his home at 908 N. 
First Street, at the age of 67 years. Besides a wife he leaves a son 
and a daughter. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock on 
Friday afternoon at the residence, Rev. McDonald officiating. 
Internment will be made at the city cemetery. 

James Robert Murph, son of Samuel Murph and Esther Shinn. James Robert 
left Concord, Cabarrus Co., NC sometime after the Civil War and moved 
to Knox County, Indiana, where he lived out the remainder of his life.

James R. Murph married Margaret Morgan, 15 Nov. 1860, Cabarrus Co., NC,
she being the daughter of Phebe Morgan (father at this time unknown)
