Lowder Obit The Independent August 26, 1974 Pearl Lee Lowder Pearl Lee Lowder, 71, of 306 York Ave. died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. He had been in declining health 10 years and seriously ill two weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Center Grove Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Lonnie Karriker will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Concord. The body will lie in state at Lady’s Funeral Home from 3 p.m. today until time for the rites. The family will receive friends there from 7 until 9 p.m. today. Mr. Lowder was a native of Stanly County, son of the late Edmon Lafayette Lowder and Mrs. Ayrelia Eudy Lowder. He lived in Kannapolis 50 years and was employed at Cannon Mills until his retirement five years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Overcash Lowder; one daughter, Mrs. Vivian Rogers of Kannapolis; two sons, Jack E. Lowder of Landis and Robert E. Lowder of Concord; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Lawings, and Mrs. Marry Karriker of Kannapolis; six grandchildren.
