N. C. ARGUS
Thursday, July 21, 1864 N. C. ARGUS (Wadesboro’, Anson County, NC)
We learn that Maj. Robert YOUNG of Cabarrus was severely wounded near 
Petersburg on Thursday last. Maj. YOUNG was Confederate tax collector for 
Cabarrus and Stanly counties, but voluntarily resigned about a month ago and 
joined the army. – We learn that Major YOUNG has since died. Charlotte 
Democrat.
