Caldwell County
Superior Court of Law               Attachment levied on land

WILLIE GAITHER
    VS.
SAMUEL CURTIS

In this dase it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that SAMUEL CURTIS, 
the defendant has absconded or concealed himself so that the ordinary process 
of law cannot be served on him.
It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made in the North 
Carolina Standard for six weeks notifying said defendant to appear at the next 
term of our Superior Court of Law, to be held for said County at the 
Courthouse in Lenoir, on the 3rd Monday after the 4th Monday in March next, 
then and there to plead, answer or demur or judgment pro confesso will be 
entered against him.
Witness                                  R.R. WAKEFIELD
Clerk of said Coourt at office at session the 3rd Monday after the 4th Monday 
in September 1864.
