June 14, 1848      Charlotte Journal June 14, 1848
   MURDER -- By a letter which has been shown us, we learn that a murder was 
committed on the person of MR. THADDEUS PERKINS of Caldwell County very 
recently by DOWTHARD CLARK and HULL BRASWELD of that County. The murderous 
attack was made on Saturday, (Mafy 27th) and he died from its affects on the 
Sunday morning following it about one o'clock.
