Mrs. Lula Moore
Valle Crucis Native

   Mrs. Lula B. Moore, 101, of Lenoir, died Friday, Aug. 24, at Caldwell 
Memorial Hospital.
   She was born Oct. 6, 1882 in Valle Crucis,  the daughter of the late 
Sheriff David F. Baird and Elizabeth Wagner Baird.  She was married Oct. 29, 
1902 to Jospeh Carroll Moore of Globe.
   Mrs. Moore was educated at Skyland Academy in Blowing Rock.  She was a 
member of Lenoir Methodist Church.
   Surviving are children, Dr. Joseph Ernest Moore, of Gainesville, Ga., Mrs. 
Thomas Litaker of Honolulu, Hawaii and Finley P. Moore, of Winston-Salem; 
grandchildren, Dr. Joseph Moore, of Lenoir, and Dr. David Williams, of 
Lilburn, Ga.; and five great-grandchildren and several nieces an nephews.
   Graveside services were held Sunday, Aug. 26 at Belleview Cemetery in 
Lenoir.
